Here is a list of frequently asked questions the core commonly receives from virus requesters.
If you have a question and do not see it already answered below, please post it in "e-office" and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
 
Q: Where is the core located?
A: Medical Sciences building S1126, on the Parnassus Campus.
 
Q: Where do I drop off plasmids?
A: In the silver fridge to right side of the door in S1126. There is a blue box in the freezer labeled 'Viracore Drop Off".
 
Q: How long does it take to complete my virus order?
A: Around 2 weeks from the date of transfection.
 
Q: What is the virus production schedule like?
A: The core makes viruses twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. Orders are processed in the order in which they are received.
